What is Misting?
Misting is an alternative to air conditioning that can refresh outdoors areas by atomisation of fine droplets of water. When ultra fine water droplets (mist / fog) are introduced into the atmosphere, they quickly absorb the energy (heat) present in the environment causing the liquid water to change state and become a gas (water vapor). In the process, the air is cooled by an natural process (endothermic reaction) known as evaporative cooling.
Our high pressure misting fans and misting line systems are designed to efficiently introduce a super fine mist into the area to be cooled which almost instantly evaporates (flash evaporative cooling). In the specific case of our misting fans, we combines evaporative and convective cooling (wind chill factor) to achieve spectacular results.
